Guitar Lessons for home schooled students in Las Vegas!
Does your home schooled student love the sounds of guitar music? Has he or she been begging you to take guitar lessons, but you thought you couldn’t afford it? In public schools (if it hasn’t been cut from the budget yet) you child would be offered music classes and possibly even band practices. Those elective classes are actually pretty important and can give your child something fun to do which keeps them out of trouble. Your choice to take the time to home school your student tells me that you only want the best for your child, and at least to me music is an essential part of your students well rounded education.
Learning how to play guitar is not only cool, but requires skill, thought, practice and patience. It is a great way to install a love for music into both boys and girls and doesn’t have to be overly costly for the parents either.
Matt Hennager (http://lasvegasguitarteacher.com) is a skilled Guitar Teacher with well over 20 Years of experience who shares his passion for music and skills for a more than reasonable price. My husband and I both have been taking guitar lessons from him for some time now and I can honestly say that we couldn’t ask for a more patient and talented teacher than Matt. His private one on one guitar lessons are only $20.00 for 30 min. at his Office. A fee which you will find hard pressed to beat anywhere here in Las Vegas.
With the economy being what it is, and understanding that even $20.00 can be a bit tough to spend on guitar lessons for parents, Matt Hennager has gone a step further then most in his desire to bring the opportunity to learn guitar for even those on the smallest budget. He now offers group guitar lessons for only $5.00 per lesson!
Group guitar lessons are a great option for families with multiple children wanting to learn how to play guitar or home school groups.
Of course there are a couple of reasonable requirements:
• Students must have a playable acoustic or electric guitar and guitar picks. Music stand and tuner is desirable. All music will be provided for a small surcharge.
• In order to receive the lessons at the discounted rate of $5.00 per lesson, you must be part of a group that has 4 or more students. Your group will be booked at a time that is most convenient for you.
• Lessons will be paid at the beginning of each month.
• Missed lessons are non refundable. Matt is willing to reschedule the missed classes as a group if able.
I would say those are very reasonable requirements.
These classes are for students ages 7 and up. Matt is willing to accept younger students on an audition basis.
Emphasis of these guitar group lessons are on traditional music reading, Classical and Jazz guitar.

Las Vegas Gunshow March 3rd and 4th 2012
Hello everyone and get ready for a gunshow day in Las Vegas.
Are you a gun lover? Enjoy looking at different firearms and are always on the look out for a bargain or two on ammunition? If you just started salivating you need to get yourself over to the Las Vegas Cashman Center today for
Crossroads of the West Gunshow has been going on since yesterday morning, but isn’t too late for you yet. You can still visit it today. Doors opened at 9 am and it is going to remain open until 4 pm. today.
You can find the Crossroads of the West Gunshow at the Cashman Center:
Cashman Field Center
850 Las Vegas Blvd North
(at Washington)
Las Vegas, NV 89101
Tickets are $14.00 per person over 12 Years of age. Kids under 12 get in free.
Parking is available at the Cashman Center for $4.00 (no in and out privileges)
You can get something to eat and drink there if you get hungry, but truthfully I would advise you to stay away from the Hot Dogs (nasty) and the Chicken Sandwich (very dry). The Chicken Fingers aren’t bad so.
Expect to pay between $4.00 for the cheapest to $6.50 for the bit more expensive meals. Nothing fancy. Make sure you have cash on you to pay for the food! There are ATM’s located inside the Cashman Center by the Restrooms.
We went yesterday with a good friend and I took a few photos for you just to give you an idea of what all you can find. Do expect to be there for a while. It took us from 9 am to 2:30 pm to look at everything. So a good days out really.
Sorry the images aren’t better I am not a professional photographer. As you can see there is a bit there for everyone, even the gals who are not interested in guns. They did have some really interesting jewelry pieces and some lovely glass ware there, as well as some art.
For me so I left pouting since I really wanted the Ruger 22 caliber 10 shot revolver which I saw, sadly that just wasn’t in my budget.
Oh well maybe next time.
The one thing I was very disappointed about was that we couldn’t find any 8mm surplus Ammo for the Mauser. We wanted to buy some in bulk for when we go target shooting, no such luck so.
If you are looking to stock up on Ammo, if you are looking for a couple new firearms at a reasonable price and you are planning on spending a few hundred dollars going to the Gunshow is worth it. If you just want to kill some time and look at some really awesome stuff it is worth it as well.
Well I better shush up now so you can get going. Hurry they close at 4 pm.
